The project faced several challenges that needed to be addressed. The brewery’s keg filling area floors had severely degraded due to exposure to chemicals, beer residues, and constant washdowns, which exposed aggregates and created uneven surfaces. This damage caused operational challenges, particularly with forklift and trolley movements, leading to safety risks and disruptions to workflows. Additionally, the degraded concrete made proper cleaning difficult, raising concerns about meeting hygiene standards and the long-term usability of the area.

To address the challenges, Monotek provided a comprehensive solution. The 6mm MONOTEK® 330 anti-slip system with a blue-colored sand finish was applied, creating a flexible, resilient, and seamless surface. The self-leveling 6mm finish effectively filled in the damaged and eroded areas, restoring the concrete to a smooth, durable working surface. Designed to withstand heavy impact, chemical exposure, and rigorous cleaning, the MONOTEK® system ensured long-term performance without the need for expansion joints, offering a robust and low-maintenance solution for the brewery’s production area.

The project delivered significant results in key areas. The restored floors enabled smooth operations for forklifts and trolleys, improving workflow efficiency in the keg filling area. The seamless, easy-to-clean surface met stringent brewery hygiene standards, ensuring safe and efficient production. Additionally, the resilient MONOTEK® flooring protected the underlying concrete, significantly extending its lifespan and ensuring long-term viability.

The project added considerable value in several areas. The seamless, level surfaces reduced equipment disruptions and improved overall productivity in the brewery’s production environment. Anti-slip technology enhanced safety by minimising risks in a high-traffic area. Additionally, the durable flooring system extended the life of the brewery’s infrastructure, offering cost-effectiveness by reducing future repair needs.
